Hello all, my name is Ward.

First of all, Paul, thank you so much for setting up this One-Name Study! What a fantastic resource, it is very much appreciated!

I live in Bluemont, Virginia, and started researching my branch of the family a few months ago; I'm using several online sites and my tree is assembled on Ancestry.com (I believe it is public view). It's been tremendously fun and I have been learning some very interesting facts (for Melhuish's as well as other ancestors). 

I too have come up against a bit of a Wall and hope this forum can provide any clues along the way. I look forward to contributing what I can as well.

Welcome, Dubs. As you can see on the map of birthplaces, information on US Melhuishs is pretty thin so any information you can add would be good. Frequency of the name in the US is about 1/3 of the UK but given that population is 3 or 4 times as great, overall numbers should be about the same.
